This is a movie that spins around a tale of slavery and its escapades. Two sons take charge of slaves. They are expected to deliver them at the destined location in return of payment. However, they encounter a prominent leader who has been searching for two rebellious brothers. Jamie Foxx, one of the slaves is asked on the whereabouts of the brothers. He is willing to answer. However his abductors are agitated by this. James Remar points a gun at the king; he’s killed in a second. This as a result gives the slaves an opportunity to escape after also beheading James Russo. Nothing is free. Foxx is released but appointed a job of tracing the wanted brothers. To do this task, he masters the art of treachery and betrayal.
The film has outstanding photos. There is an appealing view of dry land surrounded by mountains in an exceptional way. The setting of the film is in a country location. This provides a welcoming platform for the viewer. The movie bestows a huge sense of humor. For instance its funny how the King assures Remar to be polite, he’s just a customer trying to conduct a transaction; only to shoot him. The film puts in a nutshell horse riding. There is plain evidence of nature through the freezing and chilly weather experienced over the mountains. Further, it’s indeed beautiful how Fox and his wife enjoy a warm bath at the lake. There is a transition from dry land to freezing weather and finally what can be termed as normal weather conditions. The trek from the desert towards the chilly mountains is quite an exciting experience. A closer look at Jamie at the ‘night scene’ is hilarious. Country songs playing at the background make the film even more interesting.
Django has some daunting parts. It’s exasperating how a lady is dragged mercilessly on the ground. What’s more is the fact that punishment in this field is redundant involving flogging and whipping. In one scene, there is huge destruction of property due to the invasion of rivals. Further fights incurred in the film lead to a greater loss of human life. At the end, it’s funny how Jamie tricks the duo and gets away with his wife.
Django Unchained is a great film for all times.
