Radical scientist Victor Frankenstein (James McAvoy) went to a London circus where he met a gifted surgeon Igor Strausman (Daniel Radcliffe). While watching an act, an aerialist, Lorelei (Jessica Brown Findlay), got injured and led Victor and Igor to cross their path while saving Lorelei. The brilliant doctor offer Strausman not only his friendship but a chance to work with him on groundbreaking research that could change the world forever. At first, they create a monstrous chimpanzee-esque creature nicknamed “Gordon” but found to be a failure when it escapes and wreaks havoc through the university. Victor got expelled from college for his unorthodox methods, but was approached by his wealthy, arrogant classmate Finnegan (Freddie Fox), who wants him to create an artificial humanoid creature. Victor & Igor join forces to create a humanoid creature not only for Finnegan but for their fame and popularity. When Victor’s experiments with life and death go too far, only Igor can bring him back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation.
“The crack of lightning, a mad genius, an unholy creation – A monster.” Who would not have known Frankenstein? All of us right? Though many movies have been produced based on this famous story, no one can stop them from watching each one of them as different movies, presents special twist on the story. I applauded perform of James McAvoy & Daniel Radcliffe who’s tandem gives the movie a meaning and a different savor. Though the plot is predictable as we all knew how basically the tale goes, it is still not boring to watch. From the cast, costume and effects, all of these were satisfactory on a personal note. Victor Frankenstein, as always, taught us to strive more. If you want something, think hard, play smart and act on it immediately. If we fail and fall down, rethink, plan and stand up ones again. Igor on the other hand taught us despite disability or sickness, one can still succeed and knowledge can really help change a lot in your life. Sometimes, due to our personal weakness either emotionally or physically, we lose hope and hinder our success but Igor will definitely educate you on how to overcome these obstacles. Success cannot be achieved in a blink of an eye or even in a day, you have to work hard and never give up. My advice: Try and try until you succeed.
