what-if

What If also known as The F Word, is a 2013 Irish-Canadian romantic film about Wallace, a medical school dropout after discovering a shameful act of her girlfriend by having sex with his anatomy teacher. Since that experience, he set off love and choose to focus more on his job. He lives with his roommate Allan who tags him on a party where he met Allan’s cousin Chantry. Chantry is an animator who lives with her longtime boyfriend named Ben. After small talks, Wallace and Chantry became close to each other and became friends. There is no denying that they both enjoy the company of each other, so what if the love of your life is actually your best friend?
This film is a very charming one with the great chemistry of Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan. We all know who Daniel Radcliffe is and normal guy character seems a little different for him since of the famous film Harry Potter Series which he starred. The story line might be a little cliché but what’s good about this film is that despite of the familiar theme it got, the readable actions were outweighed by the dialogues that will make your stomach hurt because it was funny and charming. It is one of the rare romantic film that was awfully predictable but highly likable rom-com that is available today.
If one is craving for a light-hearted comedy drama, this one is highly recommended. The film is all about a story of two people who met and find interest to each other but they were trapped in their own lives which is much likely happening in the real world that made it more realistic. Some of the graphics and animations used were great too because it made the film more convincing and creative. The set takes place in Toronto Canada and it highlights the great spots there like the Royal Cinema. The last few scenes before the ending is quite unexpected despite the readable storyline of it. What If is a crowd-pleaser that will be liked by young ones and young at heart.
